John retired from a career that spanned 40 years in the food & beverage industry including 25 years as the publican of an American/Irish pub located in Hermosa Beach, a legendary Southern California surfing spot. Additionally, John also served eight years as a Hermosa Beach City Council member including 2 terms as Mayor.
John emigrated to Ireland, gained his citizenship via his Irish ancestry and has settled in Kerry, on the shores of the Wild Atlantic Way. He’s currently the IREXIT point-of-contact and membership coordinator for both Kerry & Cork counties.
